I'm sure many drivers are wondering what changes to expect in the coming season. NASA RM works very well as is. Since it is one of the most successful clubs in the region, it would be irresponsible to make too many dramatic changes, and furthermore they are not necessary. However, If you aren't growing, you are dying. Here are a few areas where NASA RM will attempt to grow next season: 1) Coaching: Even though our top priorities are safety and fun, I believe that increased coaching will improve both. For this reason increased access to coaching will be a top priority for next year. I want to make the experience with NASA so valuable that it simply cannot be replaced by an open lapping day. Sean Souvie and Chris Venturini are working on a complete curriculum for HPDE 3. We have multiple professional coaches with race teams that are excited about the upcoming year and will be available to you on NASA weekends. I hope to have website updated soon so you are able to find their links and schedule coaching and support with them. IF YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL and you and I have not had a conversation about this please CONTACT ME! If we have not had a conversation, it means I didn't realize you are interested. I don't want to leave anyone out. These teams will have large flags by their race rigs and will all pit together. This should allow you to easily find them and get to know them. I also would like to get a lineup of fellow racers who are also able to coach. However, I have not made it to this part of the to do list yet. 2) Website: The website is still under construction. Since I am completely computer illiterate it's making it difficult! Rest assured I do have professionals hired for this task. 3) Apparel: A whole line of NASA apparel is in the design process. Hats, t-shirts, jackets, driving suits, etc 4) NASA marketing partners: So far I have been able to form some agreements with several companies who are excited to support us and market through us. Most are still in negotiation but if you are looking for Christmas gifts please purchase your race equipment from Wine Country Motorsports. If you are looking for a fireproof coolshirt or fireproof long underwear, please contact me. Traqgear makes some excellent stuff and has offered us steep discounts. We are also nearing an agreement with Iracing. Ashley Burt from Gunnison Bank and Trust is also providing significant support of NASA Rocky Mountain next year. I have probably forgotten a few but mostly I wanted to let you know I am working on these kind of things. 5) Saturday BBQ: The goals for the Saturday BBQ will be to have delicious food ready directly at the conclusion of the last track session. Awards will be included on most weekends. We hope everyone plans to attend these and really hope to increase family involvement in NASA weekends. 6) National anthem: Since I now absolutely consider car racing a sport, it seems only appropriate that we play the national anthem in the morning before we start the event. I would really like for all of our kids and family members to perform it!! If you have musically inclined children or family members who would love to do this, please contact me. I would like to have the lineup organized well ahead of time. There is much more underway, but I really wanted to let you know that I am working very hard to provide a fantastic season for all drivers and Dave is trying hard to help me get up to speed.
